Could anyone clarify me. What’s the difference between “plasma-meta” and “plasma” group in archlinux?
could anyone tell me, “what packages will install if I install ‘plasma-meta’ or ‘plasma’ group?”
Arch Linux - plasma (x86_64) - Group Details is the closest to what packages are recommended by KDE community to install for a fully-functioning system for users, without additional things but the plasma DE and essential programs.
It does not even include the filemanager dolphin, for instance.
Arch Linux - plasma-meta 6.3-2 (any) is a minimalistic Plasma installation,where some important things might be missing, that at KDE we don’t recommend. You will probably need to install additional packages to suit your needs.
