KDE Partition manager - e2fsprogs not found despite being installed

Hello. I’m trying to use KDE Partition manager but it says I’m missing some tools. One of them is e2fsprogs, the other one is ntfs-3g. So I’m unable to modify ext3, ext4 and ntfs partitions.

I tried installing them, but my package manager says they are already installed. I’m on openSUSE Tumbleweed, latest version.

One thing I have noticed is that when I go into Tools → File system support → Rescan support, the rescan does enable ext file system support. So the application does see the e2fsprogs package. But after restarting the app I need to do it again.

Is there something I can do to fix it? Or will I need to file a bug report? One thing I have noticed is the app asks for the root password twice for some reason, but I’m not sure if that’s related or not.

GParted works just fine, so the problem seems to be specific to this application.

Thanks.
