Windows 7 had a feature that allowed you to save your customization settings. Similarly, in KDE Plasma’s settings application, there will be a button to save the settings in the “Colors & Themes” section, and options like copying a link to share it, for example. Of course, I don’t know how this will affect the community, which is very open to discussion, but if you like it, you can consider it for the next version.
Do you mean something like GitHub - vikdevelop/SaveDesktop: Save Desktop saves your Linux desktop environment configuration and GitHub - TheUruz/KonUI: Qt frontend for Konsave written in Python ?
Yes, these are similar, but I thought it would be much better if we could publish them as global themes, originally created by the KDE team. If someone shares them on the KDE Store and sends us the link, we can show them to our friends and other people. Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself, but since this would mean more themes, it might be harder to find them, so it might be a good idea to set categories and tags before publishing them to make them easier to find.
i use konsave myself for this , but i do agree being able to share out mix n match as a global theme would be nice. my issue with konsave is sometimes things with widgets and stuff will change/ be different on fresh install so it can be finicky tho generally works. but it we could actually pull whats needed from the store then it would be more ideal yeah. i’ll have to check out the other 2 that hazelbunny linked
