KDE plasma uses fallback lockscreen

After I applied the “Sugar Candy” on Plasma 6, whenever I’m on the lock screen for choosing the user, the system will use the fallback lock screen. The normal lock screen(the one that appears when you close the lid or press Meta + L) also is unchanged, but instead of using the fallback screen it stays the same as the default screen KDE came configured with.

what i tried(all ran as root): chmod 4755 /sbin/unix_chkpwd, chown root:root /sbin/unix_chkpwd, then restarting the plasmashell service with systemctl

System: Debian 13

You mean the SDDM login screen?

The Sugar Candy theme for that is not at all compatible with Plasma 6, and maybe even later Plasma 5 releases.

Look at Eucalyptus Drop for an option that should work.

The SDDM login screen (also called a “display manager”) is a completely separate thing from the Plasma lock screen. An SDDM theme does not touch anything on the desktop environment.
