hello, I use kde plasma with wayland on debian 13 trixie stable. Is there a way to increase the pointer speed higher than the default maximum (which is 1.0) in the mouse system settings please ? I tried to manually change the PointerAcceleration=… line in .config/kcminputrc, and reboot, but it seems not to work
I’m also interested in this, from the opposite direction - i.e. is there a way to make the pointer speed go slower than -1.0 ?
Fine tuning settings were retired.
However, using a mouse with a top button which cycles DPI modes does the trick for me when I need to slow down and try to draw something.
Thanks, yeah, I do have DPI adjustment on my trackball, but even the lowest DPI setting at -1.0 pointer speed isn’t really slow enough for fine drawing work.
On Windows, with the same hardware, I could go low enough for what I wanted. I had a nice setup with an AutoHotKey script that would crank down the mouse pointer speed for as long as I held down a hotkey. Probably the thing I miss most since moving to Linux, actually!
