I’ve installed CachyOS Wayland with KDE6,
I have 4K TV (64 Inch) connected to the PC, so I need a way to increase the desktop and fonts,
I went to KDE display configurations and increased scaling to %200 (3840x2160 /4k resolution)
It looks fine, however when I start any game on Steam and look for it’s display settings - I see that the resolution it recognizes is way below 4K.
I had this issue with XFCE on MX Linux, but they advised to increase the fonts and Window Scaling, and not increase the scaling.
When I increase the fonts in KDE6, it doesn’t have the desired effect and it looks very bad and unreadable in many places. (as I don’t see an option to increase all windows size as in XFCE)
What is the best way to increase desktop GUI/Windows and fonts in KDE6 without decreasing the in-game resolution?

Games typically run on X11 and on Wayland through XWayland, so they are going to be affected by the “Legacy Applications (X11) setting at the bottom of Display Configuration. What is yours set to?

Thank you,
At “Legacy Applications (X11) setting at the bottom of Display Configuration, I first set it to “Scaled by the system” as I thought this would make all app windows bigger.
After I set it to “Apply scaling themselves”', I could see the 4K resolution in-game.
Thank you.
