KDE6/Wayland and touchpad: how is it performing?

I wish to know if using a touchpad is as seamless as it was to be under KDE5/X11 since KDE6/Wayland.

I noticed on 2 different laptops that the touchpad often becomes unresponsive for a left click, requiring tapping at a different physical location on the pad. In one Qt application, I could before zoom a client area with 2 fingers, it never worked in KDE6/Wayland. I initially thought it would get better with upgrades of KDE6, in vain. Playing with different settings does not help.

I sometimes see a similar behavior, maybe it’s the same problem. A click on the touchpad starts to behave like a middle-click without any reason.
