It would be nice if one could transfer a bluetooth headset from one KDEConnect device to another.
Example use case: You have your bluetooth headset connected to your smartphone (e.g. because you just took a call on your smartphone) and you want to connect it to your PC instead (e.g. to watch a movie). The same applies for the other way around, obviously.
Precondition: The bluetooth headset is paired to both devices, the smartphone and the PC.
In this case, you need to follow quite some steps:
- If your smartphone is currently locked, you need to unlock it.
- On the smartphone, navigate to the bluetooth settings
- On the smartphone, disconnect the bluetooth headset
- On the smartphone, you might want to disable bluetooth if you no longer need it.
- If your PC is currently locked, you need to unlock it.
- On the PC, you may need to enable bluetooth first
- On the PC, connect to your bluetooth headset
Each of these steps involve multiple clicks.
It would be nicer if this mechanism could be taken over by KDEConnect mostly, so you could get rid of all the steps on one of the two devices and maybe reduce the number of steps needed by ⅔. In the example above, it would be nice, if you did not need to interact with the smartphone manually at all, so all of these steps could be put together into a single step, that you only need to press a single button for KDE connect saying something like “Transfer [bluetooth headset] to this PC”.
