The second maintenance release of the 26.04 series is out with the usual batch of bug fixes and improvements for workflow and stability. This update comes with fixes to rendering, timeline editing, project file handling, and Windows, MacOS, AppImage and Flatpak packaging.
When starting version portable 26.04.2 of Windows, the application throws the error “libcrypto-3-x64.dll is not designed to run on Windows or contains an error,” shows it 3 or 4 times on the screen, and closes the application.
I tested the standalone 26.04.2 on Win10 before uploading and had no crash. Do you have installed the latest Win10 updates? If not, that could be the issue.
I have consulted the problem with Copilot and the solution is to permanently disable the intelligent operations control or to perform the process I have done for each new version.
I try run in Win10… and it cannot run - instant crash, whether the install or standalone version. Just freezing after I click New project or choose any previous templates.
It depends on what your expectation is and what compromises you are ready to make. Just try it out for yourself. There are tutorials on YT (nuxttux has a good series of them), and also the KDE Store has effect presets for that.
