Kdenlive 26.08.1 released - Kdenlive

The first maintenance release of the 26.08 series is out with the usual batch of stability fixes and workflow improvements. Highlights include a big batch of fixes for crashes when changing Timeline Preview settings, deleting sequences, stopping audio recordings, and using ripple editing when the Project Monitor is hidden. This release also fixes Effects Zones not being kept inside the clip boundary and tabs are now readable on theme changes on Windows.

Hi !

I really like this editing software, but I had a issue this days I wanted to update my ver so I reinstall another one , it’s work fine but in the render I always gets render crash mlt … I don’t know what’s the problem  I tried to ask ai and no solution worked for me .

Anyway, thanks yall for this amazing software.

Hi @Got7_Igot7, and welcome to the forum and community.

What OS are you working on and what version did you install and how? Also, please post the exact error message you are getting.

Has there been a fix for the duplicate keybinds? You’re not allowed to bind multiple keys to the same thing but that’s done by default with at least Shift+Delete

I’ve noticed this following an update to the latest version. The “Master” meters are stuck at near full scale, with the left slightly higher than the right. The A1 meter is displaying the soundtrack at the correct level normally, and the sound on the rendered video is normal. It’s just the master meters that are wrong.

Anyone else? Any ideas?

Using Windows 10.

hi ! sorry for late respond

i do have windows 11 ; at first , i had 24.12 ver then i remove it and uploaded 26.8 ver

this is the message that i got “Started render process: C:/Users/…/AppData/Local/Programs/Kdenlive/bin/melt.exe -loglevel error -progress2 C%3A%2FUsers%2F…%2FAppData%2FLocal%2FTemp%2Fkdenlive-GTHBwQ-1.mlt
Rendering of C:/Users/…/Videos/untitled.mp4 aborted, resulting video will probably be corrupted.”

Hi @FluffyPuppyKasey, and welcome to the forum and community.

Shift+Del is assigned to Extract Clip, so if you want to assign it to a different action, you should remove this key bind first.

Are there other key binds that are duplicated by default?

Please open a bug report for this (unless you have a Volume effect on master )

Does the video play?

I’ve had the same problem as GaryB, on Windows 11. With the daily build – kdenlive-master-13484-windows-gcc-x86_64.exe – the problem has gone. So the bug has been fixed!. Thank you

Welcome to the forum and community.

I have the same problem as GaryB, on Linux Mint 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit, Kdenlive (Flatpak) 26.08.1, as well as with kdenlive-26.08.1-x86_64.AppImage.

If you encounter an issue with the latest release, please open a new thread even if it has been mentioned here already.

If it’s truly a bug, please open a bug report instead.

Thanks!
