I use Kdenlive to transcribe music videos from artists, and I often use the speed change function. The problem is that when I apply it, the timeline cursor doesn’t stay at the same time position, so I have to manually find the point where I was working again.
Would it be possible to add an option in future versions to keep the playhead in the same position when changing speed? That would really improve the workflow.
I’m not sure that really makes much sense, because the playhead position is a timeline property, while the clip speed is a clip property. The playhead may not even be over the clip which you are changing the speed of at the time you do that.

You can add a marker to the clip, which will move when the clip speed is changed but will still be the position of the frame (or nearest remaining frame) where it was placed - and then move the playhead back to it again.
You can add and remove them quickly with keyboard shortcuts if it’s just a temporary location you wish to mark.
