Kdenlive Version 24.05.2, i slow when i am playing video present on track.
it take around 30 sec to start actually playing.
I have observed same thing on any type of installation …
appimage and flatpak.
i am using this on

This may be because of the size of the original clip. Try enabling proxy clips (lo res versions of your clips for editing purposes). Look under
Configure > Settings > Proxy clips
See if that helps.
Have you ever had the Proxy Option grayed out? I can’t make proxies. Was thinking about editing the clips into smaller chunks.
Check your system drive usage. I was having similar issues, had less than 20% free on my drive. Cleaned some things off to get it up to 40% and things worked better.
On same system, same version of kdenlive and with same video clip, everythig works fine on Window 11.
My system has enough free space.
