I’ve been working on translating the Kdenlive documentation (website) into Brazilian Portuguese (pt_BR) for the past few weeks. I’ve already completed about 80% of the work. They’re already in the KDE translation SVN.
I would like to request to include the pt_BR translations in the website synchronization script. I’m not sure who is responsible for this.
I switched on `pt_BR` in the documentation but it seems there is an error to show the index file. The same happen in other languages like `pl` and `uk_UA`. I’ll investigate.
I managed to build the Portuguese (Brazil) documentation locally. I found several small translation errors that I’m fixing, but nothing that prevented the documentation from compiling.
Regarding the issue of not being able to set the language to Brazilian Portuguese in the language menu, that’s strange.
I also translated the Digikam manual, which has a very similar format, and in Digikam they managed to create two entries: one for Portuguese (which usually refers to European Portuguese) and another one for Brazilian Portuguese.
Anyway, thanks again for making the Brazilian translation available.
I’ve already completed 100% of the translation and I’m now working on the manual revision. In the near future, I will also come along with a revision of the app’s interface translation.
I just joined the Telegram group. I still need to work a bit more on the manual. While translating it, I noticed some inconsistencies in terminology that I believe can be improved in the interface. I should seek help from the Telegram group before making any changes.
