I have Kubuntu 22.04 installed on a Dell optiplex 7010 with a i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz and 32GB RAM and a RX580 GPU. I also have Kdenlive 23.08.4 installed. I tried recently to encode a video and have trouble with x265. Kdenlive doesn’t seem to like it. I try to choose it and get this error that says Unsupported video codec libx265.
ffmpeg -codecs returns the following:
–enable-libx265
DEV.L. hevc H.265 / HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) (decoders: hevc hevc_v4l2m2m) (encoders: libx265 hevc_v4l2m2m).
I’ve tried Videomass with x265 and it works. How do I fix this? Thanks for your help.
