Kdenlive v25.04.0 crashes and closes when I click on a clip in the project bin

I cleaned the Library applicationSupport kdenlive folder, a new one was generated, still crashing.

I completely removed Kdenlive from the system with remove_kdenlive.bat file.

I downloaded and installed Kdenlive version 25.04.1. I did not have the crash problem I mentioned in this thread.

The problem is solved.

If anyone who can reproduce this is able to dig into this a bit deeper, it would be nice to know which setting from your old config caused this trouble.

There is code to migrate older project files and configuration into newer versions, so if that has failed on some item it would be good to find and fix it. “Wipe your old config to upgrade” should not ordinarily be something you need to do, even glitches like this do happen in practice from time to time.
