I am pretty new to kde and arch linux. After freshly installing arch with kde plasma, I am constantly prompted to enter my password for the kdewallet. I didn’t set a custom wallet password and my user password doesn’t work.
I tried to change it using the kdewallet-manager but in there I’d have to open the wallet first using the password, that I don’t know.
Is there any way to change to password through terminal?
I hope anyone can help me, anyways thank you in advance!
If you don’t have any secrets in the existing (default) wallet - or you’ve given up on recovering it - you can just delete the wallet and create a new one, with a known password:
Open the wallet manager. If it asks you for a password, just click Cancel.
From the File menu choose “Delete Wallet…”
Click “Delete” in the warning dialog that comes up
Then you can create a new wallet from File → _New Wallet… _
The default wallet is called “kdewallet” but you can name the new wallet anything you want, then go into System Settings → KDE Wallet and set your newly created wallet as the default wallet.
