Key repeat is broken in brave browser(sorry for the delete)

Brave version: 1.85.111

Distro: CachyOS

KDE Plasma version: 6.5.4-1

First of all, sorry for deleting the first post, it was an accident.

As title says, key repeat is not working in Brave browser only in KDE plasma desktop. Key repeat is fine in other software. Also, key repeat works in other desktops such as hyprland when using Brave.

I ran into the same issue. It was caused by the Virtual Keyboard. I had recently changed from “Maliit” to “Plasma Keyboard”. That is when key repeat stopped working in Brave. I was able to restore key repeat functionality by changing back to “Maliit” or to “None”.

Go to “System Settings” → “Keyboard” → “Virtual Keyboard” and set it to “None” or “Maliit”, then click Apply. Key repeat should begin working immediately in Brave.
