Keyboard accelerator in system tray do not work

in any sub menu of the system tray(e.g. network, bluetooth, etc) pressing alt underlines buttons like connect and disconnect but pressing the underlined button does nothing
this only happens in wayland and X11 buttons are not underlined at all

also some non text buttons also get accelerator assigned (which work sometime for whatever reason), how am i supposed that pressing alt+c in networks open system settings to configure networks?

Hi! I had never thought to try holding Alt with those tray widgets open, but I tried it and see the same thing on my system!

There is something broader, I think, with how keyboard accelerators are working in System Settings-related components like those tray widgets and in the System Settings pages themselves, based on the existence of a couple different bugs related to their function: 489799 – Powerdevil kcm: Keyboard accelrerators don't show up, and sometimes don't work if they do and 496532 – Apply button is not enabled when changing settings with accelerator keys

I don’t know of a solution at this time, but in the event that they really are distinct causes, what you’re describing is likely worthy of a bug report to help track the specific case of tray widgets having issues as well.

I would file a bug report but I don’t know what component this issue belongs to,
if you do then please tell me so I can properly file a bug report

I actually put the attributes on the end of that bug report link above to go directly to the component I think would be appropriate here

The best location I could think of for now is the plasmashell product, System Tray component: Log in to KDE Bugtracking System
