Keyboard backlight doesn't work on kubuntu 24.04

i use a lenovo ideapad slim 3 and i have kubuntu 24.04 installed on it. this laptop provides 2 brightness levels of keyboard backlight but i am only able to toggle the first brightness level by using “fn + space”. can someone help me to fix this issue so that i can toggle between both the keyboard backlight brightness levels

Fn+Space hooks directly into the firmware. If that’s not working to cycle through all the brightness modes, that means there’s a problem with the firmware or the Linux Kernel code. Nothing we can do to help with this in KDE, sorry.
