Like windows10+ i can press Super+1…9 to open the shortcuts I placed there. But if one instance is already open, how do i Open another one?
With the mouse i can either right click>open new window, or middle click.

The keyword i was missing is that the shortcuts i mean are the ones “pinned” to the “Task Manager”, or “Icons-only task manager” on the main panel.
Work arounds I’ve already tried:
keyboard shortcut to move focus to the panel/task manger, and pressing ctrl+enter. Doesn’t work. Anything I press just move focus to the already-open instance for the shortcut.

Super+1…9 is already available under System Settings → Keyboard → Shortcuts , they are named “Activate Task Manager Entry 1…9” but this only simulates a click event.
In Windows we have Start+Shift+1…9 to open a new window from the pinned app but this doesn’t seem to be available under KDE, sadly, of now…

For what it’s worth, that open merge request (Keyboard shortcuts to opens news windows of taskmanager tasks (!4936) · Merge requests · Plasma / Plasma Workspace · GitLab) looks like it might just need a boost from someone getting into the code and helping to figure out how to set the appropriate keyboard shortcuts as default
