I was having performance issues with kmail. I deleted all accounts and ran the akonadi-db-migrator tool. The tool moved the backend database to postgresql. Everything that akonadi touches became much more responsive. I am using imap to connect to the email server. It is pulling mail into most folders. However, it is not pulling mail into the inbox. I am also missing a folder. I don’t believe the issue is on the provider side. My phone is pulling inbox and missing folder mail and my windoze box also. As well as showing the missing folder and email going into it. I am at a loss for how to debug or fix this and need direction.
Thanks, Bob
Sounds a lot like the problem that prevents me from using kmail right now. Filtered messages go the right place, but unless I mark messages that should stay in the inbox as read in my mail provider’s web client, they don’t show in the inbox. Most of the time. Sometimes it works.
But it’s not dependable enough so I can’t use KMail anymore, after decades of getting dependent on the application ![]()
