Kmail message list: show sender name only instead of name + email address

Hello,
column “from / sender” (don’t know how it is exactly called in english) in the message list
of kmail always shows “name of sender + email address of sender”.
Is there a way to change it to only show the name, without email address, like possible in
other clients, e.g. thunderbird?

AFAICS, no.

  • Possibly due to phishing concerns – if the sender’s e-Mail address is visible then, it’s more likely that, the user will notice attempts by whoever to obtain private information or, whatever else …

Good point, thank you. Would prefer to be able to configure it though.

Then, you’ll have to raise a Bug Report requesting the change – as a Change Request … :upside_down_face:
