may I suggest a french translation (correction) in KmyMoney ?..
From the 5.1.92 version, at the bottom of the ledger form, the middle word “Cleared” is bad translated in french.
In version 5.1.3, it is right translated, by “Compensé”
In version 5.1.92, it is directly translated by “Effacé”.
OK, “Cleared” can mean “Effacé”, but exactly “Deleted” in french. In this case of ledger KmyMoney, “Cleared” means “Compensé” in french, as it was in 5.1.3 version.
Is it possible to restore the previous translation ?
Thank you very much
Thanks for reporting. Translation is performed by separate teams in the KDE world. I am not sure if member of yours are reading this, but maybe you can inform them about the problem via their mailing list.
you’re right, this translation is obviously non-sense, thanks for signalizing it.
The translation correction has been inserted into the 5.2 branch of the software on November 4th 2025, see “GIT_SILENT Sync po/docbooks with svn” in Repository graph · master · Office / KMyMoney · GitLab.
You can see it if you download the AppImage software version “kmymoney-5.2-4959-linux-gcc-x86_64.AppImage”, last modified 2025-11-09 17:09 (KMyMoney Version 5.2.1-be4919f) or later from the official download page Index of /ci-builds/office/kmymoney/5.2/linux

thanks for your help at fixing the language files issue which prevented the updated files push in the chain (general issue, nothing to do with specific software like e.g. KMyMoney) @jjazeix !
And great that you have access to discuss, I hope you’ll like its ergonomic design.
I know this is a debian website, but honestly it doesn’t really matter, the content is 95% distribution-neutral and the most important point is that the search engine register it
