I try to understand Konsole appearence settings and more specifcally the colors.

I click Red on Black select Edit… and make a change to the foreground color and hit apply,
Now there is a new Red on Black. If it always creates a new I wonder why there is a New as wel. I just don’t understand this.
it’s like themes, the colors are canned can cannot be edited but you can make a copy of them and give them your own name.

Try this: 1) click red on black 2) click new 3) give name
That’s a proper rickroll isn’t it 
it is more clear in the plasma settings where it will not let you modify the default color themes, but instead prompts you to save it as your own.
