I’m using a custom profile in Konsole, and I can’t get the background to be transparent no matter what I try.
System information:
Kubuntu 25.10
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.5
Wayland
I have the following system settings:
Desktop effects → Blur - is on
Window management → Window rules → I have a rule that applies to ALL windows and changes opacity to ~90% for all windows. This works on all other windows. It doesn’t work on Konsole.
Konsole settings:
Profile settings → Appearance → Edit…
Blur background is checked.
Background color transparency is set to 23%.
Changing the background color transparency slider does not change the transparency of Konsole, but seems to either darken or lighten the background color.
The Wallpaper transparency slider is not able to be changed. It won’t let me slide it. It is set to 0% but I have no way to change it. Is this what I need to change and if so how to make it editable?
No background image.
Does anyone know what the issue is or what else I can try?
