Kontact/kmail cannot be set up

Hi community,

after a new installation of KDEneon on a new PC (Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tiny) I have installed kontact/kmail among others. Unfortunately, I can’t set up an e-mail account there, because after a few seconds the setup dialog turns gray and doesn’t respond anymore (see screenshot).

Even removing the kontact and kmail packages and reinstalling them did not change the error situation.

Occasionally (not reproducible) a dialog box from kwallet also appears with the request to enter a password.

What can I do so that I can set up and use kontact/kmail?

Greetings

While I don’t have answers here, does it seem like the problem may be with kdewallet instead for kmail? Does kdewallet work with other programs?

It actually has something to do with kwallet. I have found a solution to the problem.

If you delete the existing kwallet password store and then create a new one, you will no longer have a problem creating a mail account (IMAP/SMTP) in kamail. It worked perfectly after this action.

Great! I solved a different problem I had with kmail by doing the same trick with kde wallet.
