Kontact with gmail and proton mail bridge guide/help

this might be talked alot, but i really want to and trying to use Default KDE apps, but what i just cant get to work is Kontact with emails and Google drive integration.

first of all i use gmail and proton emails and Gmail is synced and connected, Google Drive is connected but permissions are denied when opening, No single email send or recieved or not single email account shown on client side unless i use plain text on all

proton mail bridge setup is done and it detects all as SMTP, but again cant connect those to server so something i am missing?

not single email client shown, working, sending or recieving.
not single calendar showing even all connected

i would love to get help to solve this and write it down somewhere and bonus would be desktop clock/calendar sync too

I have Google calendar integration with the “Google Groupware” calendar connector in KOrganizer working since ages ago.
Unfortunately that means I don’t remember if I needed to do anything special during setup.

IMAP stopped working at some point but I managed to get it working again using this guide

SMPT is still from my old setup so I also don’t remember if I had to do anything special. I don’t think so.

Haven’t used Proton’s service but I would be surprised of nobody here has :slight_smile:

seems there is something more on this apply settings and connections keeps reseting and not saving on Kontact/KOrganizor each time i setup settings and connections not happening and apps crashing
