kOrganizer No second email account

Is there now a solution so that I don’t have to create a second Google account for KOrganizer to work properly?

I am afraid it is not clear what you are asking.

KOrganizer doesn’t need a Google account but you can add Google Calendars if you want.

I’ve already explained in more detail what the problem is. But I’m not getting anywhere with this — so goodbye to Kontact, KOrganizer, etc.

My problem was:

I have a Google account, but not all calendars are showing up.
Then I thought: maybe I’ll create a second Google account — and strangely, everything syncs correctly with that one.
So where is the problem? Why doesn’t it work with the first Google account?

Your first posting contained one sentence.

Only your new posting has an actual description of the problem.

As far as I know there is no inherent need for a second account.
At least my private setup has only one.

Symptoms sound as if there could be a setup or caching problem.
Removing and re-adding the calendar could make it work.

First of all, thanks for your reply – I really appreciate it. I had the same suspicion. So I downloaded each calendar separately as an iCal file and imported them. That part worked.
But the sync didn’t work. I created a test event and checked on Google to see if it showed up – but it didn’t. Then I checked again and got an error message: “Password retrieval failed.” Hmm, I couldn’t enter anything. Tried again – same error. Hmm…

My setup has a “Google Groupware” calendar configured.

It seems to sync both ways as far as I can tell.
Also shows each folder.

Unfortunately this is a very old setup, can’t remember if I had do do anything special.

Google stuff is weird some times

The Google account in Fedora worked fine at first – online access was no problem. But now I tried again and keep getting password errors. I deleted the passwords in KWallet and restarted the computer, but it’s still offline. I’m done with it. Removing it! I go to Thunderbird and it works! Danke dir!
