KOrganizer not saving New Categories

Ver: 5.13.3 (19.12.3)

Trying to ADD new categories to KOrganizer.
Manage Tags window comes up, I enter a New Category to create in the blank field, press ‘Create’, it is not created…
Press OK instead - same result.
Tried exit and run again, new category not in list.
Am I missing something (other than my new category) ?

Actually the images are reversed.
I labeled them according to the timestamps,
but evidently that didn’t work as expected…

That’s a pretty old version.
first thing to try is upgrading to more modern version (version 6.2 or higher)
if still failing then please file a bug report.
