KRDP logging of incoming connections

Hi there everyone, made the jump over to recently as a win10 refugee. I’ve successfully got KRDP running, and I’m able to connect to it, but I’m facing another challenge. I can’t find anywhere where it is logging the IP of incoming connections.

I’m being bombarded with popups about krdp access requests, and while I’m sure the same was happening previously on windows, I’d like to lock this down with fail2ban. Problem is I just can’t seem to find the IPs of the incoming connections…

Couple things I’ve tried:
journal | grep “krdpserver” - turns up lots of data, but no IPs
journalctl -f /usr/bin/krdpserver - where I then make a connection, again lots of data but no IP
grep -r “known IP address I’m connection from” /var/log - only entries here are my previous grep queries

Kind of at a loss here, I feel like this has to be logged somewhere. I couldn’t find anything about it on the krdp github page either.

Anyone have any idea, or suggestions?

Thanks,
Matt

I’ve also had this issue. Eventually I gave up and moved to xrdp, its so much more robust, especially with logging.
