Currently for Rocky Linux 9.x you can only install ktorrent as a flatpak or snap. Will there be a binary installation for 9.x like previous main versions?
Flatpak and snap packages are binaries already
.
What you mean to ask is will there be a native package.
You can ask this to your distro community, this isn’t KDE specific.
May I ask, why do you want to install a native package ?
What’s wrong with the container packages ?
Do you use Plasma ?
Hello Meven. I want to install a native package because I’m having a lot of trouble downloading magnet links through the browser. I’ve tried a myriad of things including associating the flatpack executable for ktorrent and it still doesn’t work. I use FF btw. Yes I use Plasma.
Magnets are not files, but just urls.
This kind of associations are handled by the browser usually.
This might be a shortcoming of firefox not handling properly containered apps.
