Kubuntu 23.10, Wayland, Nvidia 2060 - Black screen with "_"

Hello,

I’ve read good stuff about Wayland recently, and figured I try it out.
So i log off (and even rebooted) my x11-session, choose Wayland, and enter my password. And boom, there it stops. I get black screens with an underscore _ stuck at the top left. It doesnt blink. I cannot open a tty. I cannot ctrl-alt-delete.

Its completely frozen from what i can see…

Packages: 2925 (dpkg), 20 (flatpak), 12 (snap)

Resolution: 1920x1080, 1920x1080
DE: Plasma 5.27.8
WM: KWin
Theme: [Plasma], Breeze [GTK2/3]
Icons: [Plasma], breeze [GTK2/3]
Terminal: kitty
CPU: Intel i7-7700K (8) @ 5.000GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Rev. A
Memory: 4247MiB / 15919MiB

Ive gone through this topic: kde[.]org/Plasma/Wayland/Nvidia
And looks like I am fulfilling everything’s needed to make it work.

Anyone that can help me?
I booted up a live-usb of KDE Neon (latest stable), which works, shows me Wayland etc…

I think Plasma 5.27.8 had some issues with Wayland, but KDE Neon has Plasma 6.0.3 which is much more stable in terms of Wayland.
As both distros are Ubuntu-based, my solution would be switching to KDE Neon or waiting until Kubuntu 24.10 with using Wayland because Kubuntu 24.04 will still have Plasma 5.

Yes, alright.
Plasma 5.27.11 is available, althou not by default packages in apt. (sorry about the terms).
Is there a way to get 5.27.11 without much hassle? Curious to test it.
