Kubuntu 24.04.1 LTS Discover app says everything is up to date but on the menu, it gives the option to see available updates?

Hello.
As I mentioned in the title, Discover app on Kubuntu LTS 24.04.1 says everything is up to date but the start menu advocates that there are updates , even when right clicking on the discover app it says see available updates with a blue dot under it.

the Sudo update and full upgrade commands all gave 0 packages to update. So I don’t know whats going on. This is a fresh kubuntu installed 4 hours ago and is in dual boot with windows 10. The installation did hang around a bit at 90% and said performing cotextual processes’ job… (idk if this detail is useful but the system eventually installed )

Any help is greatly appreciated

I think what you are seeing is just a launcher icon for the update notifier thing. It is using a description/label as opposed to an application name. Think “browse the web” versus “Firefox”. This isn’t an actual notification in the menu
