After updating kde packages to 6.4.0 versions (on Manjaro Linux KDE unstable branch), a bunch of content in my kde wallet seemingly disappeared. Both Vivaldi and Element were unable to access their keys anymore, and the contents weren’t showing up in kwalletmanager. They are both chromium apps, but I’m not sure if that would just be a coincidence, as it seems many keys previously there were missing.
I tried to roll back the packages (initially one by one, then just all system packages at once) and it didn’t bring back the missing wallet contents.
However, I followed these instructions online which somehow brought back the missing contents: [SOLVED] Can not pass Profile Launcher after Update?! | Vivaldi Forum
It seems odd that the contents were visible to the exporter, but not to the kwalletmanager content view.
Since then, reapplying the same system updates didn’t result in the content disappearing a second time. I’m not sure therefore whether this is tied directly to the updates or whether some other issue occurred. Either way it is difficult to reproduce, and I have already had to apply the workaround as I was locked out of my main browser.
The bug tracker guidelines say not to report a bug that you cannot reproduce, however, multiple users have faced it on the Vivaldi forums and this seems like quite a serious bug. Any pointers on how to help pin down this issue so I could write a proper bug report?
