KWin crash on 6.5.0 - How to report/help

I have a bug in my kde desktop. The kwin process is crashing after I resume from standby. how to report this problem properly? I use Kubuntu 25.10 and installed 6.5.0 from the backports PPA for the latest plasma version. Where should I report this problem? Kde directly? Kubuntu on launchpad?

And…how can get proper crash logs? I only got this:

Hi there.

I think you experience this KDE Bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495702

I had the same issue and found the Link to the Bug report via this Arch Linux Forum discussion: KDE 6.5 kwin_wayland crash after suspend / Newbie Corner / Arch Linux Forums

This should be fixed with KDE 6.5.1, fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

In this case, I think the best option is report the issue in KDE bugs site: https://bugs.kde.org/

Regards.

Thanks. Interestingly I never had that problem (so often) with previous versions. Something in 6.5.0 must trigger it more often. Lets revisit this in 6.5.1.
