Kwin invalid framebuffer status full system freezes

Hi all

I’ve been experiencing frequent freezes of my system on Fedora 40 using the KDE spin. The system will freeze, replay the last second of audio over and over and completely freeze.
This usually happens when using graphically intensive applications like gaming, or when watching videos in the browser.
When this happens, I am unable to do anything, even powering off the computer using my case button, opening terminal (tty2-4), etc.

My journalctl logs give this error:
Aug 14 10:38:45 leila-dev kwin_wayland[1882]: kwin_scene_opengl: Invalid framebuffer status: "GL_FRAMEBUFFER_INCOMPLETE_ATTACHMENT"

If I need to provide any more logs/terminal outputs/etc just let me know how and I’ll post them in the comments.
If anyone has any ideas or things to try please provide your expertise as this is very annoying.

Please provide the entire journalctl from the boot where this happened. It’s often that these warnings are a result of the problem, and not really the cause

You can maybe paste links in a code block? Idk how this works.

Otherwise, you can just create a bug report for KWin and attach the log there
