Laptop constantly thinking it's connected to/disconnected from power

Hi! I’m using Arch Linux and just recently updated to the new Plasma version of 6.3.4. Unfortunately, after doing so my laptop is now constantly thinking it’s connecting to/disconnecting from power while having been connected the whole time.

Here’s an example of the behavior. I’ve read the battery system tray entry previous to version 6.3.4 and noticed it also stated it was charging/discharging, but it’s only now that the laptop has started to activate the power management settings I had set earlier in the settings alongside making an audio notification while still connected to power. It happens more often when I’m actually doing something on my laptop as that’s when it’s using more power.

My laptop’s a Framework 13, although I have all my battery limit BIOS settings disabled. I thought it might’ve been the new battery preserver option added in a BIOS update but disabling that had no effect on behavior.

I’m here to report I’m experiencing the same but on a Framework 16. I am also using Arch Linux but I haven’t touched any of my BIOS battery/power settings.

Hi! I’m no expert, but for what it’s worth this could be lower-level in the system stack than KDE Plasma. If it’s helpful, another Arch Linux user with a Framework has mentioned that the upower package might be related to a similar-sounding issue? After downgrading my upower package it did indeed fix the problem! Thank you so much for helping!!
