I installed a new nvme drive on an old 2016 dell laptop. The BIOS lists the drive, and is in AHCI mode with secure boot disabled. Yet, I can’t install KDE Neon as the live installer won’t list the drive. The drive, itself, can be seen. It’s listed in Partition Manager and well as doing a device list.
I tried installing Win 10 and that worked fine. I then tried the live installer for ElementoryOS and that also worked fine.
However, after elementary was installed on the drive I went back into the KDE Neon live installer and it listed two separate entries:
- /dev/data
- /dev/nvme0n1
Unfortunately, trying to install to either listing results in an error message.
