Load/Save Playlist file (Not working ?)

hi ,

still new to using haruna player but for some reason loading saved playlist file isn’t working for me (after selecting playlist file and hit open nothing happens)? (the save function works however and creates a file without adding any extention)

am i missing something ? i’ve looked arround the settings and tried running haruna player in sudo mode but it doesn’t seem to work for some reason ?

please forvige my noobiness im still new to KDE stuff but all i can say till now is goddamn its all been awesome up until now.

Thanks

Woah there cowboy - this is not a good plan. Generally, you shouldn’t run GUI apps as sudo - something I learned mostly after moving to Plasma some years ago.

With Gnome, in the past, I used to run file managers and all kinds of stuff as root - but when you use something like kate you’ll find you can open files, and only need to enter sudo when saving. Even now, for Gedit users, they must run sudo gedit because it is not (in my opinion) well designed for users.

I don’t use Haruna, so I’m sorry - not too helpful with that… but running GUI apps as sudo is dodgy at best.

Perhaps you can try typing and adding (not sure) .m3u at the end of that playlist name.

I just tried it with opening my ‘Radio’ playlist and it works.

agreed

not sure it’ll work because they have different file formats but i guess i can try why not.

Thanks for the advice though , much appreciated.

great this works! Many thanks!

might want to open a bug report to do this by default? This is a workaround not a solution
