Running KDE 6.7.1, but had this issue on 6.5. Have it on both my PCs. If I set a custom login animation, it’ll stick for a while but at some point with no idea why the login animation will go back to the Breeze one. Can this be helped ?

Despite creating a custom theme for the light mode dark mode switch to keep my cursor / splash screen, the splash screen wasn’t added to that custom theme.
I had to edit the ~/.local/share/plasma/look-and-feel/my-light-theme/contents/default and ~/.local/share/plasma/look-and-feel/my-dark-theme/contents/default to add this parameter :
[ksplashrc][KSplash]
Theme=Lagtrain
Change Lagtrain to the splash screen you want.
That’s honestly too convoluted of a process. With dark / light auto switch, KDE should either remember not to change stuff like cursors or splash screens, or ask when I apply those changes if I want them to be persistent even after this auto switch.
