i have a problem with login popups in settings of kubuntu,i cant customize anything.when it asks me for login,the login dissapesrs half a second after.i believe it should not close after fail of howdy and just move you to typing your password. i cant include it sadly cuz its mp4); .also,the face recognition doesnt even flash and i dont know much about terminal

which settings specifically are you trying to change?

yes SDDM requires root access and your user password to authenticate
do you have a password set up for your user account?
go to settings > users and change password to add a password if you don’t already have one.
also please open a terminal and enter kinfo
copy the output and paste it using the </> preformatted text option above in the editor menu.
