At the bottom of the discuss.kde.org it states:
“A world in which everyone has control over their digital life and enjoys freedom and privacy.”
In view of ever increasing restrictions on how technology is used and on who can access technology, how is KDE addressing this issue?
To put things into context, yesterday I got this message from PSN when I booted my PS4 Pro:
So I scanned the QR Code but before proceeding I looked at the FAQ. One explained that PSN is not dealing with this, but a third party, Yoti.
I did some research and found that while Yoti has never suffered a security breach they have been fined €950,000 for breaching GDPR by holding data longer than required and collecting facial and fingerprint data without user consent.
Any thoughts?
As a consequence of this stance I have DM’d all my Friends on PSN stating it is likely to be my last message, and also warned them about Yoti.
Let’s not sleepwalk into 1984.
