we are looking for an experienced Qt/KDE developer to implement two really small desktop utilities for us as paid projects.
Both applications already exist in a similar form for windows, so the required functionality is quite clearly defined. We can provide detailed descriptions and screenshots of the existing applications.
The two projects are:
1. PDF-Encrypt
A small utility for encrypting PDF files.
The application should have a simple GUI and support drag & drop.
2. BulkFileChanger
A utility for changing file timestamps of multiple files.
Again, the functionality is based on an existing application (BulkFileChanger) for windows and is already documented in some detail.
General requirements
The applications should:
run on Linux with KDE Plasma
be written using Qt
integrate well with KDE Plasma/Dolphin
have a clean and simple user interface
be easy to deploy and maintain
This is paid work.

We help our clients improve their financial performance and make better business decisions, with a particular focus on financial planning, controlling, financing, investments and business succession.
We are looking for someone who can implement both utilities and ideally also maintain or extend them later if necessary. At this stage, I would mainly like to find out whether someone in the KDE/Qt community would be interested in taking on these projects.

These are really just two small utilities with a very limited and clearly defined set of features.
And definitely FOSS. I’ve been a Linux user since 1999, so naturally I’d much rather sponsor the development of free and open-source software than pay for proprietary software.
My intention would be to fund the development and make the resulting software available to everyone under an appropriate open-source license. I don’t need or want to own the software as proprietary IP.
Yes, I know. The problem is that my employees simply want a graphical user interface. They all grew up in the Windows world and are used to doing these kinds of things with a GUI rather than on the command line.
So the point of the utility isn’t that the functionality doesn’t already exist on Linux – it’s about making it easily accessible to non-technical users.

Have a look for example to Safetool-Pix, which was the first application I made available to the general public as an example of my work. However, these are not well-known applications because I create them to address my specific needs, and I share them with the community in case anyone would like to contribute or adapt them to their own needs. As long as your applications end being Open Source we could collaborate if you want
