Hi KDE community,
I’ve been working on OpenUsage Community, a Linux-first, community-maintained continuation of OpenUsage built with Tauri.
The application tracks usage across AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Copilot directly from the system tray.
One of the main goals of the project is making desktop integration feel native on Linux desktops.
I’m currently looking for KDE Plasma users willing to test:
-
Plasma 6
-
Wayland
-
System tray integration
-
Window positioning behavior
-
General desktop usability
Current Linux support includes:
-
AppImage
-
.deb packages
-
.rpm packages
-
KDE Plasma
-
GNOME

I’m especially interested in feedback from Plasma users regarding tray behavior, Wayland compatibility and overall UX.
Any bug reports, suggestions or criticism are welcome.
