MarkNote 1.2

The MarkNote team is happy to announce the 1.2 release of MarkNote, KDE’s WYSIWYG note-taking application. Marknote lets you create rich text notes and easily organise them into notebooks. You can personalise your notebooks by choosing an icon and accent color for each one, making it easy to distinguish between them and keep your notes at your fingertips. Your notes are saved as Markdown files in your Documents folder, making it easy to use your notes outside of Marknote as well as inside the app.

Nice, keep it going :sunglasses:

shouldn’t there be an “expand sidebar” icon to expand back from collapsed state?

and… previous requests still apply

(more advanced )

(definitely needed )

  • I don’t know how emojis would scale but if it would be possible they would provide a much greater variety for (thematic) icons.
  • The left column does not scroll when in window mode or the number of notebooks exceeds the visible height in a maximized window.

P.S just name it 0.12

Wow, it’s looking great!

With the addition of the ability of selecting font size and family and the excellent idea of dividing editing tools into tabs when the window is resized, the app is really becoming much better and easy to take notes when it’s tiled.

Congrats for the devs :tada:

Those 22px icons are showing truncated, this is where configurable icons size are a must to have

That’s a bug in the software, not an example of why icon size configurability is a good idea, or even something that could be solved by if were it implemented.

Looking good.

Will there be an import tool in the future?

Hi, I have installed version 1.2 of MarkNote from flathub. I can’t get the editing of an existing markdown file to work I click on the file in Dolphin and MarkNote opens but I don’t see any existing content and I am not able to add content. I am using neon 6.04 and frameworks 6.2.0 Any help would be appreciated.

I think Marknote and Folio look way too similar. What do you think should be done?
