I noticed this morning when I click on the application launcher it opens in the middle of the screen instead of right under the main panel it’s on and it’s larger than it should be. I also noticed that when I click on the Shutdown Or Switch widget it’s dialog window also opens in the middle of the screen much much larger than it should be. I just got the Plasma 6.1.4 updates, but this behavior was happening before that. Running RebornOS most recent ISO.
I should add I have my main panel on top with notifications set to popup in the bottom right corner. I’ve also noticed to it looks like they’re trying to open near the notification area and then get pulled to where they actually belong.

Copy notification is on the Applications desktop instead of popping up on the Dolphin desktop.
I’m not sure if its the same but i noticed this a a bug when plasma shell crashes at least in 6.1.3. arch just got .4 today so i havent seen if it cashes like that still but i log out then back in to fix it atm.
6.1.4 doesn’t address it. But beginning to look like a issue with Reborn cause Garuda is set up exactly the same way right down to the theme and it’s having none of the issues.
Are you using X11? If so, it might be probably another manifestation of 483430 – Popup notifications show up near center of the screen on X11.
If not, my next guess is that you have a misconfigured window rule.
I switched it to Wayland as requested by a dev for Reborn and a little better but not by much. Now is it possible that since I installed the OS and booted into x11 and set everything up that problems with x11 might have been carried over to Wayland? Thanks
Maybe. Trying with a new user account can help with debugging; do things work better there?
OK secondary admin profile created, logged into it, added my couple of widgets to my main pane, click on Shutdown Or Switch and it’s dialog box is exactly as it should be. I’ll go back in in a bit and check the placement of the appmenu and where the dialog box for most recent devices pops up when I plug in a flash drive or my phone. For now the one dialog box is a good sign and Kwin search doesn’t seem to be disappearing. The only thing I would need now is on changing the UID, GID, Groups for cccp to be what they are for willywanker after I delete willywanker.
OLD USER:
uid=1000(willywanker) gid=1001(willywanker) groups=1001(willywanker)
NEW USER:
uid=1001(cccp) gid=1002(cccp) groups=1002(cccp)
Can I get help changing the cccp uid, gid, groups to what they are for willywanker? Thanks
