I noticed that this discourse forum supports logging in with kde identity.
But what i’m confused about is: why is it called kde contributor? why not call the button ‘kde identity’?

Anyone from KDE know why this is?
Hi - I don’t personally know how that was landed on, but as an outsider - I’d assume because while it’s technically called “KDE Identity”, what it functionally represents is the account that folks use to actively contribute to KDE projects via GitLab, etc.?
True, but I feel like it’d be the same as if for ‘signing in with apple id’ had a button called ‘sign in for apple device users’. It’s just apple-id that the name of the sign in service.
