The Bookmarks Option in Media browser in Kdenlive 23.4 (see the Image) is missing in 23.8.
Any way to get it back?
Please check with the AppImage. If the bookmark is available in the AppImage then it’s a packaging issue.
I checked both
- kdenlive-23.08.0-x86_64.AppImage
and - kdenlive-master-695-linux-gcc-x86_64.AppImage
Bookmarks are missing everywhere. 
This is Media Browser in the 23.04.2 appimage:

There are quite a few icons missing (no, they are not in the hamburger menu) and the “Places” pane is also not there …
In an attempt to gain space, the bookmarks menu has been move to a context menu. You need to click on the icon on the left of the path to display it:
That is not why I reported.
Earlier, You could bookmark folders, which You use frequently.
See my Screenshot. That was very useful, which is missing now.
