Missing "times" operator on Maxima output on Cantor

I’m using Cantor 25.04.3 on openSUSE Leap 16 (Plasma 6.4.2) with Maxima as back-end. When “Compose using LaTeX” is enabled, some things look good (for example, the powers on the first entry), but others are missing: the second entry should read 2 times 1013, but it looks like a single (and wrong) number 21013. In fact, disabling the LaTeX output I get 2*1013. I cannot find how to enable a better display of the results, any idea?

Thanks

Thanks! Didn’t know about the texput command. :+1:

One post disappeared from this thread (in addition to the right answer, it had a link to a non related project, maybe it was considered spam?). For completeness:

The key is the instruction texput("*", "\cdot ") that changes the default product sign from a space into the LaTeX command \cdot.

Then I figured out that to apply this instruction to every Maxima session, I just needed to go to Preferences → Cantor Settings → selected Maxima → and on the second tab (“run at start” or something like this, I’m using the Spanish UI: “Ejecución automática”) add the previous instruction.
