Greetings,
I am using KDE Plasma 6.7.3 in CachyOS with an Nvidia 5070ti connected via DisplayPort to an external Dell monitor.
The problem I am having is that although the monitor does power down when the system turns it off after whatever time I set in System Settings->Power Management->Display and Brightness, when the system subsequently suspends after the time set in System Settings->Power Management->Suspend Session the monitor is turned back on and then never powers down. The system wakes up fine.
If I boot into Windows 10 on the same system I don’t have problems suspending the system and having the monitor correctly power down.
The reason that I think that this might be a KDE (powerdevil?) issue is that if I manually issue sudo systemctl suspend the system suspends and the monitor is turned off correctly.
I’m getting kinda tired of having to physically turn the monitor off and back on (and it’s such a cheap feeling switch that I don’t have a lot of confidence in it’s longevity) so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
